I’ve lived in five countries and have visited more that 30 others.
As a foreign language student in university, I majored in Russian and minored in French and German. I also studied opera in Italian. When I moved to Belgium in 1971, I thought it would be a good idea to learn the country’s second prominent language – Flemish (though I studied the root language of Dutch as well).
Since I’m so familiar with various countries and their languages, I’ve traveled on occasion with producers on location scouts, serving as an interpreter.
